KDE Wallet is a program that native KDE applications use to store passwords and other misc. information such as those from KMail or Kopete. Its purpose is to be able to have one master password to store all others. AFAIK, only KDE applications use this. -

Yes. You can also right click on it to select the configuration option. There are settings there that let you decide how you want KWallet to function.Comment
