    Re: kopete problem

    Hi,

In fact, you can find this answer in man pages : man apt-get
This is an extract of it :
    dist-upgrade
dist-upgrade in addition to performing the function of upgrade, also intelligently handles changing dependencies with new versions of packages; apt-get has a "smart" conflict resolution system, and it will attempt to upgrade the most important packages at the expense of less important ones if necessary.

What protocol is it, that you use with kopete?
I had trouble with connecting to the ICQ Network last week, too.

          Re: kopete problem

which version of kde are you using now ? Maybe it's just because you didn't add the line with kde-latest.
You should add the following line in your /etc/apt/sources.list :
          deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/kde-latest breezy main
and if you will get an error about key when apt-get update, then do the following :
          wget http://people.ubuntu.com/~jriddell/k...iddell-key.gpg
          sudo apt-key add kubuntu-packages-jriddell-key.gpg
