i am very new to linux, it took me a while to realise what the problem was. first i was having problems with the instalation process i then came to the conclusion that i did not have full root access, i installed kubuntu and it thinks that the root acount is the owner, i set a password for the root acount and tried to login it, it said root logins not allowed i tried the root access fix with kdmrc file to allow root access, BUT I NEED ROOT ACCESS TO CHANGE THE FILE. i am in a little bit of a predicament
