how to get asymptote onto kile 1.9

OK, I have three questions. First, is this the right place for this? And second...
So...I have Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy with KDE 3.5.8 on my laptop here, and everything is going well. I used Adept to install asymptote, asymptote-doc, and kile 1.9. Now, I want to get an Asymptote tool for Kile to build/compile documents with Asymptote. (For those who do not know, Asymptote is a math graphics tool that is like Metapost...Kile is a LaTeX editor). Finally, third,
could somebody show me how to install Kile 2? Because I am a sort of "Linux n00b", I have no idea what these directions: http://kile.sourceforge.net/help.php#compile mean.

    Thanks in advance!

Maybe this helps: FAQ: Installing from source

Kubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04) has kile 2 in the repositories. Hardy is at the moment alpha, planned release date is April 24th. More of the Hardy: Hardy Release Schedule, Plans, Artwork, Release Notes, Screenshots and Upgrading

You can use Hardy's kile sources to backport (it is a bit easier than compile from the "raw" sources): DIY Backport

Here Kile 2 is starting and
    Code:
    kile -v
    tells:
    Qt: 3.3.7
    KDE: 3.5.8
    Kile: 2.0.0
