I'm a relative newbie to Linux.

I dual boot linux and WinXP.

I have ben using Debian on and off for about 6 months

After moving house I went all wireless and did a complete re-format of my PC.

I decided to give Kubuntu a try because Debian net install doesn't cope with wireless Lan.

Could I just say "Well Done"

This is the easiest Linux installation I've ever done.

If I've any problems over the coming days I hope you'll all be patient and help me,
but from now one I'll be recommending kubuntu to people wanting to try Linux

Welcome to Kubuntu!

I'm glad you've had such a good experience so far. I can identify with that - I switched about six months ago from SuSE, and it was the easiest install I've ever done. I can't promise that everything will be as easy as the install - but I can say that there are a lot of good people on these forums who are more than willing to help you out if you need it.

And remember: Don't underestimate the power of the root-user.
