Wireless Issues

This is an interesting one. When I first installed the Kubuntu 8.4 with KDE4 in a second partition to play with my wireless internet connection was recognised and I just chose my modem as usual however after doing to routine Apt Manager updates it would no longer connect to my wireless modem. I'm curious to know whether this was because of the Ubuntu base updates or the KDE4 updates - anyone any ideas?

Hardy is still alpha software, so things like this are bound to happen (I used Debian Sid for 6 years, I was used to it). I would give it a day or three and it will most likely get fixed and go back to working.

I suspect it will be down to a mixture of both your suspects, something package got changed and some other package was not quick enough to take the change on board.
