    Adding New Applets

I just installed Breezy Kubuntu. I see that I can add some applets to the Bottom Panel. But the applet selection is limited.

Can I add more applets such as a weather applet? Where would I get the applets?

There are some additional applets available in the repositories (some of them are in universe)...kweather (the weather applet) is one of them.

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install kweather

Great. I have installed Kweather and it is working great!

Is there a way I can put a bunch of applets on the Desktop (like Mac OS X's dashboard)?

Yes there is, it's called 'superkaramba' and it's in the 'universe' repositories. You can find Karamba applets here:
