kubuntu on a macbook pro (as VM)

    hey,
i am running kubuntu7.10 in a virtual machine ware (called parallels desktop) on a macbook pro.
unfortunately the kubuntu window fills only ~80% of the possible screen even in full screen mode. but i would like to use the whole screen size.

does anybody has this problem too and maybe knows how to solve it (although it seems more likely a mac osx/parallels problem...) ?

    regards, kailash

It could be how parallels is reporting the Display to the guest device. I know for VirtualBox they have an installation that can be run to fix their display issues, but have yet to be successful with it. It may be the same issue and maybe they have similar tools? The tools VirtualBox has is called "Guest Additions". Hope this gives some direction at least.

I had a similar problem with a straight Linux box (64 bit). I couldn't solve the problem with resolution adjustment and finally reinstalled. The problem went away.
