(solved) Will Compiz run with my graphics card?

    My graphics card:
Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device

And then, I read this bit:
For all Intel integrated GPU models newer or equal to i810, the i810 driver will allow for Compiz to run over AIGLX.
    But I don't know what i810 is?

Also, if it's compatible, is Compiz safe these days? I remember when I first started using Ubuntu (Edgy Eft) it was discouraged because of instability. But I'm curious! And I want the desktop cube thing.

    Open a console and type:
    Code:
    glxgears
If you see a window with three colored rotating gears, then your card will support Compiz. And, yes, Compiz is safe.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.
