hi anybody,
trying to install speedtouch 330 USB adsl modem on new installation of kubuntu 5.10
have gone through the script at
http://linux-usb.sourceforge.net/SpeedTouch/index.html
but no luck my modem light flashes at boot up and I have 2 green lights
Konqueror just says "server not found" when I try to access google or other sites
If I look in settings under USB I can see my modem
I attach my log files.
can anyone help?

can you tell us what give this command :
ifconfig -a
and maybe also the content of resolv.conf file by :
cat /etc/resolv.conf

hi sky,
thanks for replying. I am desperate to get on line with kubuntu.
I just can't get this ****ing modem online
my /etc/resolv.conf file is empty
I have attatched a file with the output from ifconfig -a

Hi,

Sorry but it will be really hard as I'm using an ethernet modem...
By myself, looking in your logs, I can't get any error.
However, did you try asking the mailing list on this site ? I've seen they are speaking about a debug option, I think it can be useful
