    i tried a picture 1002 x 674 it didnt work is it supposed to??

      All images have a size that is represented as width x height. Both the width and the height must be multiples of 512, meaning that if you can divide the width and the height size by 512 and end up with an even number, the image will work as a skydome.
      Windows no longer obstructs my view.

          I suppose I was fortunate in that the images I've used did meet the criteria.

          It does seem odd though, I would have thought with all this wobbly windows, stretching e.t.c that stretching an image of any size doesn't work.

            i was wonder wether there was any changes in need to make to the advanced desktop effects settings. If something isnt set there then im guessing it could hurt the compiz.

              wow. i was doing it wrong all this time.
              The advanced desktop effects is compizconfig somehow it doesnt show it as that
              now i have everything i want running
