kmail attachments veiwing

    kmail attachments veiwing

    I have another question on viewing attachments in kmail. I can view some jpgs in my emails inline, but sometimes I can not I check the property on the ones I can not and they say they are octet-stream application is there anyway I can get those jpgs to show up in kmail in the preview pane ??

    That may mean that they are not REALLY jpegs. However, even if they are malware, they probably(?) can't hurt a linux system so if you want to see them...

    From knode save attachment to some temp directory under your home directory. Right click on the file. You'll get something that asks what program to open it with. Navigate to /usr/bin/gwenview or some other imageviewer, but make sure that the ""always open this type of file this way" thingy is NOT checked.
