USB flash drives - not showing up after reboot (need to unplug/plug)

    Hi All,

I've noticed that if I leave a USB flash drive plugged into my PC and do a reboot, (can't say I've noticed whether the flash drive isn't recognised after a cold boot too) one Kubuntu is up and running, there is not sign of the flash drive on the system.

However, if I unplug it and plug it in again, it pops up fine...

Just a minor annoyance, but is this a know bug?

    Cheers,

    Mike.

Did you check both the Desktop and the Konqueror > Storage Media?

    Have you run
    sudo fdisk -lu ?

    What about K > System Settings > Advanced > Disk & Filesystems?

      What tells:
      Code:
      :~$ dmesg | grep usb
After you "leave a USB flash drive plugged into my PC and do a reboot".
      Before you edit, BACKUP !
