How to install Firefox Widgets on Kubuntu?

    Hi,

I've downloaded firefox widgets (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=369596), but am unable to install it on Kubuntu...

When I try and run either the "graphic_installer" or "install" scripts (by double-clicking) nothing appears to happen.

Anyone else had luck getting this installed on Kubuntu?

    Cheers,

    Mike.

My guess is you need to run it as root from a console.

I always find that when I double-click on something, if nothing happens, I open up a console and run it from there to see any error messages, that way I know exactly what is going on.

First you have to install python-kiwi. You will find that in adept / synaptic.
Then open a terminal in the folder you unpacked and type:
        Code:
        ./graphic_installer
        Works just fine
HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
        4 GB Ram
        Kubuntu 18.10
