Compatible Ethernet Adapters

What are the compatible Ethernet adapters for Kubuntu?
I'm insearch of a new adapter as mine doesn't seem to work anymore, and since I'm switching over to Linux, I thought I'd ask to see what adapters would be compatible for Kubuntu....

The list that fcookvt gave in the link is very comprehensive. The only thing I can say is that in my experience NIC cards based on Realtek or VIIA Chipsets are fine.
