Help with amsn

amsn – Help needed
I am brand new to Linux and using Kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) with KDE.
Using Adept installer, I load amsn. (Add /Remove Programs).
No problems.
Now when I started amsn I got a pop up window saying that there is an update (0.97)
When I went to the amsn web page I found two update versions.
How do I determine which one to install?
How do I install the update?
Please remember that I am just starting.

I am not sure what the differences are; however, kopete works with MSN. I use kopete for AIM and Yahoo!. Have you tried kopete?

Yes I installed Kopete. Web cam and audio did not work in Kopete.
Installed amsn and the web cam worked from the start. I hope I can get audio working but wanted to install updates before going father. Taking the path of least resistance.
