kunbuntu not posting

Ok, my fault I turned off the computer wrongly so now the computer will only boot into window whereas the kubuntu(edgy) it wont post too, I have tried the recovery mode choice but I don't know what I am doing, please, I would like both to get my system(back) and to upgrade to feistry and gutsy later, thanks.

Do you get the grub menu giving you a choice between windows and kubuntu, only the kubuntu option won't load correctly.

Or do you have no grub menu at all?

Thanks, I found that in solving another problem, the upgrade has now corrected this problem too, sorry for not replying sooner then
