Microsoft Wireless Media Remote Keyboard with Kubuntu?

    Hey all, how's it going?

    First post here.

I am currently running XP and cannot get my wireless media remote to work with it. I used Ubuntu in the past and want to try Kubuntu as per suggestion from a friend.

Will my media remote work with Kubuntu? And if so, what else do I need to know about it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I'm running Kubuntu Gutsy (7.10). I'm using the Microsoft wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.

The keyboard is the "Microsoft Wireless Laser Keyboard 6000v2.0"

The mouse is the "Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 V1.0"

They both connect to the "Microsoft Wireless Desktop Receiver 3.1"

The receiver plugs into a USB slot.

The keyboard and mouse both work well under Kubuntu. The volume control keys at the top of the keyboard even work, but most of the other special keys don't. But then most of them don't seem to do anything under Windows Vista either !
