Fonts - which ones to use

    Found MICR and OCR fonts.

They both come in post script fonts (*.afm, *.pfa, *.pfb, and *pfm files with the *.inf files), True Type fonts ( *.ttf files), Open Type Fonts ( *.otf) and PCL fonts ( *.sfp files).

My question: which type font should I install??

Would installing all types lead to conflicts?

Re: Fonts - which ones to use

Found some answers for my quesiotn:

the *.pfa and *.pfb fonts are adobe, or postscript fonts, and the *.pfm are the same things only for Windows.

Also, do not install the same font as postscript, Type 1 and true type fonts - leads to conflicts, confusion and erratic results.

As to which to install. Still not too sure. I think that all apps should be able to handle TTF fonts depending on how the font system is set up. So installing just ttf or just type 1 seems to be the way to go.
