[SOLVED]Need help - cant get Compiz-Fusion running on a new installation w AIXGL

Now that ATI propriety drivers support support AIXGL for my Ati Radeon mobility x1300 I decided to do a fresh install of Kubuntu to check em out.

I install the lastest version of fglrx without any problems using the help of this guide: http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubu...allation_Guide

Then installed compiz-fusion and corrected the whitelist and blacklist as specified in the guide.

however when i try 'compiz --replace' nothing happens. I'm completely lost at this stage.

from the console fglrxinfo displays:

I'm presuming my problem is one of two things: incorrectly setup xorg.conf for my hardware or not actually have AIXGL enabled (which I cant figure out if I have it enabled or not).

Did you open a console and type just:

compiz
