    Wireless USB adapter

I have the Belkin F5D7050 802.11g wireless USB adapter. How do I get it to work under Kubuntu? (I think it dosen't have a driver installed on my Kubuntu partition).

Also, as a side question, how do i access my linux partintion from windows (I can get my windows partition from linux already).

I'm not sure I can help with the first... Does Kubuntu "see" the USB adaptor when you boot up? (Kubuntu has support built in for USB devices such as flash drives or external hard drives.)

Your second question is easy to answer. You need third party software in order to be able to access your Linux partitions from Windows. Go here to download and install the free IFS Drives:

    http://www.fs-driver.org/

You should be aware that this software will only work with WinXP and Win2000. Also, your Linux partitions must be using Ext2 or Ext3. It does not support the ReiserFS file system.

ok, thanks for your answer to my second question. I don't think Kubuntu is recognising my adapter when i boot up, or if it is, how would i tell?

I have a d-link dwl-122 usb wireless adpater that I managed to get working on my laptop through kubuntu. I followed a load of links via google.. they got me what I needed.. I don't understand it all but it works !

I took a look on google for you and found this page with details about how someone got theirs working on ubuntu...

You need to install ndiswrapper. I installed mine with apt-get. Use it with the files rt2500usb.inf and rt2500usb.sys from the drivers directory on the CD. I have to boot with it unplugged and plug it in later so that hotplug will find it. Sometimes the command modprobe ndiswrapper is required before it will show up in ifconfig. Refer to the ndiswrapper installation wiki for details.

        I hope this helps
