Hello, can somebody help the new guy? Yes I have always been a windows user and am now interested in trying Linux.
I want to be able to use my software I already have but don't know how.
I put my typing program in my CD Rom and a box opened that wanted to know which program to use? Any suggestions?

You are not going to be able to use Windows programs directly within Linux. Some, but not all, may be able to be run in Wine. Wine has to be installed, and for information on Wine, you should visit Wine HQ
