    Re: Flash for Konqueror

    Here's the deal with r115:
This version includes the new Flash support for the standard H.264 and AAC codecs as well as hardware-accelerated fullscreen support (where supported by video hardware and drivers, and specified by a site's SWF). This is also the first official Linux release to support the new XEmbed browser protocol which simply allows a browser plugin on Unix to behave better in a modern desktop environment.
The problem with this release isn't the release, but Konqueror. Konqueror (currently) doesn't support the XEmbed browser protocol.

      Re: Flash for Konqueror

      Older version:

Checked flashplugin-nonfree_9.0.48.0.2+really0ubuntu12.tar.gz. Flashplugin-nonfree downloads install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz from Adobe with wget.

      config file tells:
      db_set flashplugin-nonfree/local /var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree
and yes there it was: install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz (Size 2.5 M, Date 05/07/2007)

      Before you edit, BACKUP !

Why there are dead links ?

        Thanks Rog!

Downloaded the r48 version from your link and extracted and placed the .so file into my /home/paul/.mozilla/plugins directory. Restarted with ctrl+alt+backspace and checked aboutlugins and I'm now using Shockwave Flash 9.0 r48.
