Tablet PC and Kubuntu

Hello everyone new Kubuntu user here. I have been running kubuntu for about a week now and have everything running well except for the tablet functionality. I have a Gateway M275 Tablet PC. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get it working. Thanks

You may want to verify that wacom-tools is installed (K Menu | Systems | Adept Manager).

When I try to use my pen to write on the screen the cursor dosent move

Does your /etc/X11/xorg.conf contain these lines:

Heres what the file looks like. I uncommented the lines that you said, I resaved the file and now I am going to reboot and see what happens

That got. Thanks allot I appreciate the help. I got one more thing, well actually two things. There is a button on my screen that is used to change the screen orientation would you know of any way that I could get that working? Also do you know of any software utility to allow me to calibrate the pen? Again thank you for the help. I'm that much closer to having a complete system and that much farther from the scourge that is microsoft.

I don't have any experience with tablet PCs, so I'm afraid I can't assist you with your other two issues. I'm sure there are others in the Forum however, who do, and who will add their thoughts to this thread. In the mean time, do some searching in this Forum and with Google (Google is an excellent tool - don't forget to use it).
