Getting Kubuntu 7.10 connected to wireless network (using wpa)

Hey all, my dad finally set up a wireless network and I am trying to get Kubuntu (7.10) to connect to the network. It uses wpa...and I have no idea where to go through here. I have enabled the driver, installed knetwork manager...and now i'm stuck. i used kwifimanager to search for the network, and it finds it. problem it the "switch to network" button is grayed out.

any ideas? or have a specific wiki that will give me EXACT step by step instructions (i have looked at wikis....the best i can get tells me to install knetworkmanager and configure the network)

    thanks in advanced

Do you have any information on your network adapter?

Here is a url for a starting place to start looking. This is what we had to go through to get our Belkin wireless working. You are mostly looking for WPA supplicant documentation. http://www.debianadmin.com/enable-wp...ntu-linux.html
