laptop won't boot install cd

hello all,

i;m trying to dualboot kubuntu 7.10 on a gateway laptop with vista on it already. I;ve shrunk te hard drive to free up space for kubuntu, and set it to boot from cd drive, but it just goes straight to vista all the time. Can anyone help?

Sounds like maybe the CD that you made isn't a bootable ISO image. Did you "burn as ISO" when you burned it?
