Can't install lastfm on Kubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06)

I added the lastfm repository, updated etc but it doesn;t want to install. Here's what I get:

    Code:
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
    that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
lastfm: Depends: libasound2 (> 1.0.14) but 1.0.10-2ubuntu4 is to be installed
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.6-1) but 2.3.6-0ubuntu20.5 is to be installed
Depends: libgcc1 (>= 1:4.2.1) but 1:4.0.3-1ubuntu5 is to be installed
Depends: libgpod2 but it is not installable
Depends: libqt4-core (>= 4.3.2) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libqt4-gui (>= 4.3.2) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libqt4-sql (>= 4.3.2) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libstdc++6 (>= 4.2.1) but 4.0.3-1ubuntu5 is to be installed
Depends: zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-1) but 1:1.2.3-6ubuntu4 is to be installed
    E: Broken packages

I've posted this on the Last.fm forums too but figured I'd get a faster and better response if I posted it here.

    Thank you.
    Seb.

i went through a couple of the dependencies very quickly.
it seems it's just what it says...
your lastfm package, whatever it is, needs newer stuff than that available in the dapper repos.

    take libc...
a version >= 2.6-1 is required, but the one available in dapper is 2.3.6-0
    Package: libc6
    Priority: required
    Section: base
    Installed-Size: 9932
    Maintainer: GNU Libc Maintainers <debian-glibc@lists.debian.org>
    Architecture: i386
    Source: glibc
    Version: 2.3.6-0ubuntu20
    ...
    or libqt4-core...
a version >= 4.3.2 is required, but the one available in dapper is 4.1.2-1
    Package: libqt4-core
    Priority: optional
    Section: universe/libs
    Installed-Size: 2300
    Maintainer: Debian Qt/KDE Maintainers <debian-qt-kde@lists.debian.org>
    Architecture: i386
    Source: qt4-x11
    Version: 4.1.2-1ubuntu1
    ...
guess you'll have to up with it till the new LTS is out.
    that's april 2008, i think.

Just thought I'd mention it in case you are not aware but amarok can audio scrobble your last fm directly (amarok>settings>configure amarok>last fm).
That is to say the last fm player is unnecessary for using last fm in kubuntu. Unless you want it because you specifically prefer that player to amarok.
