    another n00b neets help..

    Hi all..

I finaly came to the point where I dont need window$ anymore..

So I want to run kubuntu 100% native.
I had no problem installing it, but then I need some drivers I think.
I have a HP Pavilion zv5466ea, its an AMD x64 with a nVidia GeForce 4 440 GO grafix card, and I think its a nForce chipset with audio. The Wlan card is based on BroadCom BCM43xx
    The LAN is working!

I want to run it 100% native and a x64 bit version
Can anyone help me get it up and runnig 100% I think that its only the GeForce, nForce and Wlan card that I need to get running.

    Thanks....

Bjørn Christiansen a new Kubuntu user (I hope)

the restricted-manager-kde should install nvidia graphics driver if you choose to enable it.

I cant give you any more info, I have no WLAN. Sorry

My desktop has a GeForce4 MX 440. I used the script Envy to download and install the correct driver. You can get it from http://albertomilone.com/

My laptop has a Broadcom BCM43xx card. I used the guide at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...ireless+feisty - right down to Problem 1.

I am not familiar with NForce audio. Does it need a driver? http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.21_la.html - might give some clue

64 bit versions were a bit problematic. I don't know if they still are. I think it is quite alright to load a 32 bit version on a 64 bit machine.
