Can't print test page with brother mfc 7420 printer

    Hello,
I'm currently using Kubuntu 7.10, 32-bit. I've installed LPR and CUPS, my MFC 7420 is connected via USB, and when I go to http://localhost:631/printers/ it says:

    Description: MFC7420
    Location:
Printer Driver: Brother MFC7420 for CUPS
Printer State: processing, accepting jobs, published.
    Device URI: usb:/dev/usb/lp0
(this is set as my default printer)

The installation was successful, however when I try to print test page it says "Printer not connected; will retry in 30 seconds...".
Is there something I have to adjust to connect the printer?

    Thank you for your time.

Is the printer on when you are trying this?

go back to the cups interface and choose to add a printer. Pick the one you have. This time, it should say the location (local, probably). Try printing the test with that one, if it works, delete the first one.
