cannot open the websites?

hi,
i installed the kubuntu 7.04, i use dialup modem for the internet connection, there is internet connection but cannot access the web, no firewall is installed, the one problem i observed there is no /etc/resolve.conf, any one can help please?

If you haven't configured your computer to use pppoe yet, you may want to check out this guide.
