Get files from Windows harddisc

Hi!

Can anyone tell me how to get the files from my old windows harddisk copied to my Kubuntu harddisc. I would also like to make another partition for Kubuntu so I can get acess to more files from Kubuntu.

One way is to hook up the Windows HDD in the same machine with the Kubuntu HDD. Then use Konqueror to copy the files from one drive to the other.

Remember though - any partition that's formatted to NTFS is write protected so you will be unable to copy directly to your Linux partitions from within Kubuntu.
