ya i installed it using the guide and as it says i did the following
sriram@Home:~$ sudo dpkg-divert --divert /usr/bin/firefox.ubuntu --rename /usr/bin/firefox
Password:
Leaving `local diversion of /usr/bin/firefox to /usr/bin/firefox.ubuntu'
sriram@Home:~$ sudo ln -s /opt/firefox/firefox /usr/bin/firefox
ln: `/usr/bin/firefox': File exists
sriram@Home:~$
but still when i open a link from messenger the link opens in konqueror and not in firefoxComment
