KlamAV

I want to run antivirus software to scan files I transfer to a Windows desktop. I tried KlamAV (pre-installed) in Mandriva 2006 Power Pack and it seemed to work fine.

Can anyone provide step-by-step instructions on how to set it up in Kubuntu? Also will it scan for Windows' viruses or only Linux type viruses?

Download the KlamAV Instaler and then follow the KlamAV HowTo. It should run a script that does most things for you, although you may have to go hunting for a few things in the repositories to help it on ts way.
