Downloading Skype

Hi,

I have 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon installed and want to download skype.

Is it best to download from this link:

http://www.skype.com/intl/en/downloa...x/beta/choose/
(apparently the Fiesty Fawn version works OK with Gutsy Gibbon)
or should I install it using this method :

Skype for Linux Repositories
Using Skype's apt repository

1. As the root user, add this line to the end of your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

deb http://download.skype.com/linux/repos/debian/ stable non-free2.

Then run apt-get update to sync to the latest repository and
apt-get install skype to install the latest version of Skype on your computer.

If you recommend the the second method could you explain what exactly I do more clearly to me, and what exactly I type into the terminal.

I have not used the terminal before and I am worried I may mess up.

In my opinion, the best method to install Skype would be with Medibuntu (instructions for adding the repository are located on the site). Not only will adding their repository allow you to install Skype, but many other non-standard packages as well (PLEASE do not install Automatix2, it will break your system).
