    Wireless?

I want to get rid of Windows Vista on my laptop, but when running the Live CD (7.10), my wireless adapters don't work.

    - Buffalo Nfinity USB 2.0 Adapter (WLI-U2-G300N)

    And the built in wireless

    - Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN

So, if I switch, will I be able to get drivers for these? If so, where and how?

    Thanks,
    -CLH2991

    Re: Wireless?

I had a similar problem that turned out to be the fault of knetworkmanager. Wlassistant recognized and configured my WiFi lan with no problems. Try this:

    1) Download the DEB package for wlassistant at http://packages.debian.org/sid/wlass.../i386/download and put it on a thumb drive.

    2) Boot the live CD.

    3) Install wlassistant from the thumb drive. (Right-click on the file and chose Open with > Gdebi)

    4) Go to the the menus and chose [Run Command]

    5) Run 'sudo wlassistant'

It worked for me. Your mileage may vary.
