    Adept Wont Open

Everytime I try to open Adept it says that Adept is already running.

I restarted my computer and had the same issue even after bootup.

    What do I do?

Press Alt+F2 and run the command:
    Code:
    kdesu ksysguard
Look through the list and close all running cases of Adept.
    Asus G1S-X3:
    Intel Core2 Duo T7500, Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT, 4Gb PC2-5300, 320Gb Hitachi 7k320, Linux ( )

And if that doesn't work, then:

If Adept won't restart after a package install and
      reports:
"Another process is using the packaging system
      database (probably some other adept
      application or apt-get or aptitude)..."
Open a konsole and run the following:
      sudo dpkg --configure -a

If that does not work, then run:
      sudo apt-get -f install

The following are not required to fix the problem:
      sudo apt-get autoremove
      sudo apt-get autoclean
      sudo apt-get update
      sudo apt-get install

        None of these have worked.

Hmmmm. What responses are given after each of the commands? Execute the fist, copy and paste the results. Do the same for each of the other commands.

Well, I wish I could tell you. Now the computer locks up whenever I open Adept.

              Well, don't open Adept.

Really, reboot, don't open Adept, but open a console shell and execute each command, one at a time, and copy/paste the results of each.
