Firefox installed but how do I run?

    Firefox installed but how do I run?

    I wanted to install Firefox on my new install but I see in Adept that it is already installed? It's not listed in the Kmenu programs anywhere so how do I add it so I can run it? What's the console command too?

    Did you check under K Menu | Internet | More Applications

      There are many ways to open it:
      1) Katapult, press Alt+Space and start typing Firefox then when it's icon appears press enter. (you can open any program with Katapult)

      2) Run a command to open it, for this there are 2 ways. a) Press Alt+F2 and in the pop up that shows up type firefox and press enter o click the "Run" button b) Open Konsole with method 1 or from the Kmenu and write firefox then press enter. Note: with method b, you must keep the konsole window open, if you close it, it will close firefox too, to prevent this run the command like "firefox &" without the quotes.


      Finally, the console is where you can work without graphics, like DOS (But more powerful). To work in it, just open Konsole, you may Google for more commands and instruction on how to work with it.

        Thanks for replies, I see now in adept_installer that it is greyed out so I think it's not installed as I thought. I did see it listed as installed somewhere else though. Not available in Katapult either?

          In your first post you said that Adept Manager showed it as installed. In fact, is it listed as installed? I'd be surprised if it is, but it isn't anywere to be found.

            I see now that it was just the language pack for mozilla firefox that I saw listed as installed in Adept Mananger. I'm gonna download ubuntuzilla and hopefully that will get me set up
