create icons?

did some searching but it seems to be link after link with this one, none of them with a good answer - How do I create icons in KDE? Or rather how to i take some existing 256x256 .PNG's I have and make them into icons so I can replace some existing ones?

can't seem to drag and drop them into /usr/share/applications/kde

KDE icons (and cursor themes) are in /usr/share/icons/.

You need root rights:

Some of the icons could be in /usr/share/apps/...
