I am somewhat new to Linux, and I have tried several distributions in the past few weeks. I recently got rid of Windows and now run Kubuntu full time on my desktop (I'm still dealing with some configuration issues on my laptop).
Just wanted to post here and say that Kubuntu keeps winning for me. I was recently persuaded to try PCLinuxOS, because some people told me the way it intergates KDE is better than Kubuntu. I don't know anything about this, but I gave PCLinuxOS a try. It just didn't feel as friendly to me, it ran more slowly, and it did not seem to have the applications in its repository I like to use, so I came back to Kubuntu. I think I'm ready to stop playing around with other distributions now!
I also like the smaller community represented here in this forum.
Not to stir things up, but can someone help me understand what this whole controversy is about how KDE is "integrated" in the release?
Keep up the great work on Kubuntu!
Thanks,
Matt
