Tangerine Icon Set Breaks on Gutsy :(

The Tangerine icon set worked just great on Feisty. On Gutsy, it is broken. Some icons just don't show up and in there place a sort of blank file icon exists. How can I use Tangerine as my default and where icons do not exists for it, fall back onto another icon set like Crystal SVG?

This never happened on Feisty. Just Gutsy. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Giving
    tangerine icon set
    a quick google (www.google.com)
comes up with a few bugs and posts. They are mostly related to ubuntu (gnome) and the human theme respectivly tango. Are you sure they work with Kubuntu (KDE)??

they worked flawlessly in Fiesty. Not on Gutsy. Not at all on Gutsy. I remember on Fiesty, icons that were not found in Tangerine were picked up elsewhere. On Gutsy, it appears if the icon does not exists in Tangerine, no fallback is used. this makes the icon set completely unuseable.

Kubuntu Gutsy. I even tried to be slick about it. I made a copy of the contents of both crystalsvg and tangerine. I made a new directory 'kdetangerine'. I copied crystalsvg first and then tried to overwrite what I could with the 'tangerine' icons. I needed an index file so i tried both. niether worked at all. well, thats it for me trying to be slick...

Yeah, very slick. I'll see if I can replicate your tangerine issues my test machine.

Well, on my gutsy test machine I activated tangerine icons in the icon settings page in system settings. A few icons are missing like kmenu, adept notifier, etc but otherwise is seems fine. I must note that I had gnome-desktop installed at one time and there may be a few left over gnome stuff.

                I hope this helps
