Time zone problem

I can not seem to reset my time zone - to a north america central time zone. It was ok for a couple of months but now it says I am in Berlin. I have triedall without success)
1) Right Clicking on Clock and selecting - and KDE shows the proper time zone
2) Going --> System Settings --> Date & time --> Administrator --> Correct time zone reflected
3) sudo tzconfig in terminal

ne1 have any other ideas?

You should be able to change it in /etc/timezone

thanks for your reply - tried and timezone is correctly set in etc/timezone...................
