Difference purge and remove in Adept Manager

Hi , Sorry if this question is seems stupid... But what exactly the different between purge and remove?
If we want uninstall some program, should we use remove or purge??

The difference is that 'remove' deletes only data and executable files, 'purge' also deletes configuration files.
