i Installed Ubuntu 7.10 server on my computer and package kubuntu-desktop after. Everything was working ok. Some days later i got the message that updates are available... installed ...restarted and kubuntu loaded but in screen resolution 600x480, i choose my graphic card manually, and after restarting the kubuntu is loading in command line.... how i can load the desktop environment and load every time the pc is restarting?

It would seem from the number of google hits this gets that many people don't know how do do this, I myself didn't even realize there was an advanced tab.

you mean that maybe i choose a wrong graphic card?
From HOWTO : Repairing xorg.conf
Check what is wrong:
Xorg.0.log is log file for X Windowing Server. It is in /var/log/.
In text mode:
Code::~$ nano /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Markers in the Xorg.0.log
Markers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting,
(++) from command line, (!!) notice, (II) informational,
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
Code::~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)"
Code::~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(WW)"
Before you edit, BACKUP !
