    Compiling wine

How do I go about compiling Wine (0.9.48) in Gutsy Gibbon 64-bit?

The problem is, it says "Configure: error C compiler cannot create executables"

How do I fix this? Help please

Do you have build-essential installed? If not:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install build-essential
    in a terminal
and or have a look here:

build-essential is the latest, and already installed. T_T!

As for the winehq page, I couldn't find the version I was after in a .deb package (0.9.48) for 64bit OS. Sadly, it has to be that version, since Shareaza, as well as some other applications, fail to work properly.

Don't hold me to that, it's just from personal experience.

It's okay, I'll just get the 32-bit version. Thanks for your time
