SOLUTION FOUND"! How do i copy an image from a web page?

It seems i simply need to mark the image first (which is not nessesary under xp).

Although this might not be a Kubuntu problem, its something i have found while trying to migrate from xp to Kubuntu.

I often need to copy an image directly from a webpage to a document. This is possible in Firefox running under XP, as a simple "copy image" option. I can then simply paste it into the document, without having to save the image.

When using Kubuntu i do not get this option (not in Konqueror either). All i can do is either "copy image location" and "save image as".

I know that i can save the image and then insert it into my document, but i would rather use a direct copy/paste method. As the saving, then finding the image is too slow.

Does anyone know a work-around or fix?

are you sure you do not have 'copy image' in the right click menu in Konqueror? I never used it but decided to check if I did and i do indeed have 'copy image'... I copied an image and just pasted it onto my desktop and that is an interesting feature I never knew existed...

try copying an image you know for a fact you can copy in XP. see if it works in Kubuntu too. otherwise maybe you're trying to copy a background image which I do not believe you can access directly through the frontend.

    good luck!
