I am sure this is a very stupid question from a newbie. I am hoping to build a music collection of mps on kubuntu but would like it to be accessible to my wife's win2000 on the LAN. I have dual boot win2000 and kubuntu. Could I copy the files over to the win2000 and have her access then thru the LAN and play them on a windows player? Could she even in some way directly access the files on kubuntu> I am also hoping to set up Virtual Box. Would this affect anything?

Re: accessing mp3 files on ext3 from win2000 on LAN
you might want to look at the first link for sharing with Windows systems and the second link for sharing with GNU/Linux systems. I am not so sharp on sharing myself as I currently do not share at all. I hope these come in handy. good luck!
