    1. Is it a IntelMac? If so go to http://www.kubuntu.org/download.php#latest and download the i386 version. I don't believe there is a CD for PPC.

    2. Yes, you get a .iso of the disk.

    3. Yes and no. Yes you could. When it comes up and you click "Start or Install Kubuntu" it will start Linux. On the desktop there is an install "button" Click that to begin the installation. If you don't want to simply don't click that button.

    4. Yes

    5. Yes, the live CD comes with a program called Qtparted which let's you partition disks. The installer also let's you partition disks and choose which one you want it on if you choose the manual option.

    6. Not really. I think you're asking if the CD can browse the web and if you can play around with it simply from the live CD. If that's what you're asking then you're fine. You don't really need anything else.

re 6: You can surf the net through konqueror, which is installed by default. However a lot of people choose to install firefox for their internet (I am one of them, I use firefox for the add-ons). Firefox is not installed by default, but the installation is incredibly simple, just open add/remove programs, select firefox and click install. That said there are plenty of people who just use konqueror for their internet.
