While I'm here I might slip in a non-Kubuntu question. I'm running Fedora Core 4, so if you can't help, I won't complain. Just asking in case there's something obvious I'm missing.
One day Firefox (version 1 point something) that used to work suddenly stopped working. Konqueror continues to work fine but Firefox refuses to connect to anything. I tried running Firefox version 2 point something (not the absolute latest) and it exhibits the same behaviour.
The proxy option on both Firefox and Konqueror say something like "direct connection to the internet"--I'm not going via a proxy whatever that is.
Is there any thing else I can try and fiddle with to make Firefox work?
