Re: Help!!! with internet connection
Really doubt that is the case. A motherboard won't be the problem with a connection to the Internet. What is your setup? What type of Internet connection are you using? Dial-up modem (what type - make/model), DSL modem, Cable modem, wireless connection, ...?
Give us as much info about your setup as you can. That will be more helpful in trying to pinpoint your problem.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

No problem.
Is the Cable modem connected to a router by chance, or directly to your ethernet port on the PC?Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Code:lspci | grep ethernet
1. Due to different Linux support condition provided by chipset vendors, please download Linux driver from chipset vendors' website or 3rd party website.Kubuntu 8.04
Dual-Boot w/ XP
Intel Core 2 Duo E6500
nVidia 8400GS 256mb
2GB DDR2
Ubuntu User #21847
Linux User #467409

Re: Help!!! with internet connection
I lost track of your post. I meant to post earlier.
paste the results of
ifconfig
in a terminal/console (kmenu -> system -> konsole) window
Also are you seeing any eth interfaces in kmenu -> system setting -> network settings?
Also are you running dual boot with windows XP or is this a linux only machine?
