removing task bar tool tip

Hi,
I tried disabling tool tips for the taskbar by right clicking taskbar->configure
panel ->appearence and then disable tooltips but it still shows the tooltips for
all the entries in the taskbar. how do I disable it. it is very annoying. It draws
a big box like opening a sheet telling me that google is on firefox. How do I
disable it on Fiesty fawn.

when go in and remove the x from the show tooltips you will also need to remove the x from enable mouseover effects. and then click on apply and it should fix your problem.
